Next Level Recovery empowers individuals with addictions and mental health challenges through spiritual education, community support, and holistic healing.

Our vision is a world where all people with addictive diseases and mental health challenges can find greater well-being and fulfill their life purpose.

HISTORY
Next Level Recovery was founded by people in recovery from substance abuse, trauma, and mental health issues. Under the auspices of the Center for Spiritual Cultivation, a Georgia nonprofit 501c3 corporation, Next Level Recovery was founded by Dr. Kweisi Ausar in 2021. The idea for Next Level Recovery grew out of a desire to innovate the emerging non-clinical approach to recovery from substance abuse and mental illness through spiritual intelligence education.

We draw on ancient systems of spiritual cultivation and modern psychology to offer a "spiritual, but not religious" framework that serves as the basis for our programs and services. Our competency-based model of spiritual intelligence provides opportunities for those new to the recovery process, those with sustained long-term recovery, and those in between.

Meet the Board of Directors

Dr. Kweisi Ausar

Founder and Board Chairman

Kweisi has a Doctorate in Business Administration, 23-years of restaurant industry (5 years at executive level), and 12 years of experience as a professor who has published extensively on topics related to leadership, organizational behavior and workplace spirituality.

Michele Price

Board Secretary

Michele has a PhD in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Georgia. She has extensive experience conducting assessments and providing psychotherapeutic services to clients with mental health and substance use disorders. She is the Clinical Director of an outpatient addiction treatment center.

Melvin Venable Jr.

Board Treasurer

Melvin has a Master of Business Administration and a MIS. He has 8-years of experience in project management, data analysis, payroll and payroll tax management to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accounting, benefits, and HR functions. He is the Senior Payroll Manager in Los Angeles.

Nick Duggan

Board Member

Nick has a Masters in Organizational Psychology and an ACC coaching credential. He has 25 years of experience in leadership development and coaching, including over a decade in the tech industry. Nick partners with mission-driven companies to help their leaders make a more meaningful impact.

Thomas Tubbs

Board Member

Thomas has Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s in Lean Manufacturing. He has 25 years in automotive manufacturing, specializing in lean manufacturing. He has extensive experience in fundraising, business development, and entrepreneurial operations.
